         南华大学质子导体陶瓷燃料电池实验室成立于2020年,针对国家重大需求,瞄准国际科技前沿,聚焦国家“碳达峰、碳中和”的重大战略决策,通过运用质子导体陶瓷燃料电池对能源进行高效地利用与存储,为当前的能源与环境问题提出一种新的解决方案。在探索领域基础科学前沿的同时,开发新材料、新工艺,解决当前对于能源材料的需求,并为该领域培养出一批专业过硬的高水平人才。将质子导体陶瓷燃料电池的研究与南华大学的专业特色相结合,为核能高效安全的利用提供一种新的途径。本实验室的研究方向主要包括:  (1)  结合第一性原理模拟的材料设计与合成;  (2)  CO2还原;  (3)核电的高效利用。

         实验室现有研究人员16人,含湖南省“百人计划”入选者1人,青年骨干教师3人,研究生10余人,形成了一个具有多学科背景的高水平研究团队。实验室已建立起陶瓷燃料电池从初级粉体制备到单电池组装的全套设备,以及相关的电化学表征系统。实验室通过深入的研究工作以及积极参与国内外合作,已成为领域内具有一定学术影响力的研究团队。


ABOUT US:
         The Proton-Conducting Ceramic Fuel Cell Laboratory of University of South China was established in 2020. It aims to meet the significant national needs, align with the international technological frontier, and focus on the country's major strategic decision of achieving "carbon peak and carbon neutrality". By efficiently utilizing and storing energy through proton-conducting ceramic fuel cells, the laboratory proposes a novel solution to the current energy and environmental challenges. While exploring the forefront of basic science in this field, the laboratory also strives to develop new materials and processes to address the current demand for energy materials, and cultivates a group of highly skilled talents with excellent professional expertise. By integrating the professional characteristics of University of South China, the research work of the laboratory provides a new approach for the efficient and safe utilization of nuclear energy. The research directions of this laboratory mainly include: (1) material design and synthesis combined with first-principles simulation; (2) CO2 reduction; (3) efficient utilization of nuclear power.       
         The laboratory currently has 16 research staff, including 1 recipient of the "Hundred Talents Program" in Hunan Province, 3 young key teachers, and over 10 graduate students, forming a high-level research team with a multidisciplinary background. The laboratory has established a complete set of equipment for the preparation of ceramic fuel cells from primary powder to single cell assembly, as well as related electrochemical characterization systems. Through deep research and active participation in domestic and international collaborations, the laboratory has become a research team with a certain academic influence in the field.
